Education Specialist
About the role
The Education Specialist at Valley Youth House provides direct services within the school and community setting, focusing on four federal prevention strategies. These strategies include facilitating small group and classroom lessons using evidence-based, evidence-informed, and other curriculums, participating in community and school events, collaborating with community members, and facilitating alcohol and other drugs prevention programming.
Responsibilities
- Meet regularly with their assigned supervisor to review services provided.
- Attend and actively engage in team meetings and professional development opportunities as assigned.
- Complete and submit documentation in a timely manner, including pre and post assessments for all educational activities.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in a human services discipline.
- Must never have been convicted of any child abuse offenses.
- A mature individual with sound judgment who represents an appropriate role model to staff, youth, and families.
Qualifications
