Education Specialist

About the role

The successful candidate is expected to assume the following duties and responsibilities:

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and provide direct instructional and academic services to Orange County migrant school age and out of school youth
• Build collaboration and partnerships with school districts, public service agencies and community organizations
• Recruit and facilitate student participation in local, regional and statewide activities
• Participate in community and school functions to coordinate/enhance services to youth
• Contribute to development and implementation of program workplan

Qualifications

• Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field
  • Experience with outreach
  • Bilingual Spanish
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and internet-based systems
• Preferred:
  • Background in education
  • Knowledgeable of community resources
  • Experience working with immigrant/migrant families and youth
  • Self-starter

Pay

Annual salary range: $55,500 – $56,500
