Education Specialist
About the role
The Education Specialist supports the Office of Ethics and Compliance by overseeing sexual misconduct prevention curriculums/programs, coordinating awareness events, and providing trainings on Ethics and Compliance policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Provide in-person and online presentations on sexual misconduct prevention and Ethics and Compliance policies and procedures to faculty, staff, and students.
- Manage prevention and training programs that comply with Title IX, the Clery Act, and VAWA.
- Coordinate and present comprehensive, evidence-based, trauma-informed education curriculum addressing sexual misconduct prevention and awareness.
- Coordinate and manage awareness events and campaigns on sexual misconduct prevention and Ethics and Compliance policies and procedures.
- Maintain up-to-date research and information on best practices for prevention education, awareness campaigns, and training.
- Create and maintain content for Learning Management Systems.
- Ensure all Office of Ethics and Compliance staff receive required annual trainings and track information related to personnel completed trainings.
Requirements
Superior ability to organize and maintain goals and deadlines to meet strategic objectives. Ability to present professionally and dynamically in various venues. Excellent communication skills – written and oral communication. Desire to work in a collaborative environment where teamwork is essential to accomplishing organizational goals.
Qualifications
- Tier I: Bachelor’s degree and one or more years of relevant professional experience.
- Tier II: Master’s degree with a concentration in higher education, criminal justice, education / teaching, student development, or counseling, and two or more years of relevant professional experience.
- Tier III: Master’s degree with a concentration in higher education, criminal justice, education / teaching, student development, or counseling, and three to five years of relevant professional experience.
Skills
Ability to learn all aspects of the Office of Ethics and Compliance to manage prevention and training programs that comply with Title IX, the Clery Act, and VAWA.
