Education Specialist
Description
This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated, energetic candidate who is passionate about early childhood education. Compensation
$22-25/hr, based on experience or education
Shift
Monday – Friday, Full-time, rotating shift, 7am-4pm/9am-6pm
Location
1410 Deep Lake Rd, Antioch
Requirements
- Must be IL Director Qualified and willing to drive our School Age Van (must be at least 23 years old).
- Aid in the implementation of child portfolios and child assessments.
- Review classroom interactions, behaviors, routines to identify development needs and provide support per CD.
- Review implementation of Creative Curriculum.
- Identify training/resourceneeds in areas of program, sanitation, regulatory compliance with CD and provide hands-on support where needed or requested.
- Aid in establishing and maintaining quality of education standards per company guidelines including labeling, communication boards, classroom arrangement, resources specific to children’s needs, program and classroom enrichments.
- Incorporate developmental objectives into lesson plans and oversee modification requests of staff.
- Arrange for weekly LP supplies, maintain common area supply closet.
- Integrate activities and developmental goals into Tadpole system and Daily Reports.
- Conduct classroom observations as needed or requested by CD using current monthly observation forms.
- Provide feedback to CD and direct teacher support to teachers as needed, acting as a liaison between staff and management team as necessary.
Qualifications
- Must have a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience working in a childcare or early education setting.
- Valid Illinois Driver’s License.
- Knowledge of the Creative Curriculum and ability to implement it effectively.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
Skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
