EDUCATION SPECIALIST.

Duties

You will develop, coordinate, and manage international education programs, including study abroad, semester exchange, language immersion, and other global engagement opportunities for the U.S. Naval Academy midshipmen, faculty, and staff.

You will coordinate with faculty, academic advisors, military and civilian organizations, and partner institutions to support participant selection, academic requirements, travel planning, security requirements, and successful program execution.

You will plan and coordinate international visits, conferences, seminars, distinguished visitor engagements, and other special projects supporting the U.S. Naval Academy's international mission.

You will develop reports, briefing materials, surveys, and program assessments; analyze data and prepare recommendations to support leadership decision-making and continuous program improvement.

You will manage USNA international education programs.

You will coordinate academic requirements, travel, logistics (DTS, JTR, FCG, passports/visas), and budgets.

You will liaise with global partners, handle administrative issues, and deliver data-driven program reports.

Requirements

• Conditions of employment: Must be a US Citizen, determined suitable for federal employment, participate in the direct deposit pay program, and obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty.

Qualifications

• GS-09 Qualifications: At least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector, demonstrating key tasks such as serving as a key liaison, preparing budget estimates, resolving administrative issues, and communicating with stakeholders.
• GS-07 Qualifications: At least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector, demonstrating tasks such as assisting with travel arrangements, reviewing travel requests, compiling financial data, and communicating with stakeholders.
