Education Practitioner - Learning & Assessment Specialist [$90 - $130/hour] Scope of Work Evaluate and refine interactive learning materials, including quizzes, formative assessments, and tutoring content for accuracy, pedagogical soundness, and learner engagementAnalyze learning interactions to determine effectiveness in building durable understanding rather than rote answer provisionApply and enhance assessment rubrics, grading criteria, and outcome measurement tools to ensure high standards of learner evaluationProvide expert feedback on educational content, ensuring academic rigor, suitability for diverse learners, and alignment with learning objectivesDevelop, review, or iterate on visual and multimodal instructional resources to enhance comprehension and retentionDocument observations and recommendations with clarity and precision, prioritizing strong written and verbal communication for effective collaborationContribute insights to improve AI-driven educational tools and resources, drawing on experience with learning design and evaluation Preferred Qualifications Extensive experience as an instructional designer, learning scientist, assessment specialist, or educator within K-12, higher education, or edtech contextsDemonstrated success designing, evaluating, or delivering tutoring, quizzes, formative assessments, or interactive educational mediaProficiency in judging academic correctness, learner appropriateness, and the developmental value of educational activitiesHands-on practice developing or applying rubrics, outcome measurement strategies, or innovative grading systemsExperience creating or optimizing visual, interactive, or multimodal learning materials for diverse audiencesExceptional written and verbal communication skills, supporting precise feedback and effective remote collaborationStrong preference for professionals with availability aligned to the US Pacific Time zone
