Education Director

About the role

Become a part of the Vivvi founding team at a brand new 24-hour child care center on Toyota’s new campus in Liberty, N.C., to help build the quality program children deserve while pursuing your own professional growth and development.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the ongoing delivery of a developmentally appropriate emergent curriculum
• Train new teachers on the Vivvi Learning Model, a child-centered, inquiry-based approach
• Provide mentorship and model best practices for faculty members, including conducting regular performance evaluations and facilitating meaningful professional development opportunities
• Manage a team of Mentor Teachers to support curriculum implementation across the school
• Support all aspects of relationship-building and enrollment with families, including communication through Brightwheel
• Aid the Head of School with compliance systems and ensure adherence to applicable health, safety, and licensing requirements
• Foster and promote Vivvi’s inclusive environment throughout all aspects of the school
• Serve as Head of School in their absence

Requirements

• Enjoy working with young learners, and see every child as infinitely capable
• Have 2+ years of experience in a similar role
• Hold at least a Bachelor's Degree; ECE or a related field is preferred
• Hold a NC Administration Credential Level I
• Have deep expertise in emergent- or inquiry-based curricula and a progressive approach to early childhood education
• Be knowledgeable of licensing requirements for early childhood programs
• Value and create strong relationships with families, children, and faculty
• Possess excellent leadership skills including the ability to define goals and motivate staff towards success

Qualifications

• Competitive Compensation and Benefits: Our educators earn salaries from $40,500-$54,850 based on level of education and experience. Full-time employees also receive benefits including health, vision, and dental insurance, retirement savings, and commuter benefits.

• To be considered, applicants must be based in or willing to relocate to Liberty, N.C.
• Candidates must also possess independent US work authorization.
• Physical demands of this position include but are not limited to sitting and standing for extended periods, bending at the waist, reaching overhead, and frequently moving or lifting children weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted.

Pay

Our educators earn salaries from $40,500-$54,850 based on level of education and experience.
