About the role

Interpret and implement policies, procedures, and state regulations relevant to education and the operation of a privately licensed school. Oversee the overall operations of the school, including staff supervision, policy development, educational activities, and budget preparation. Establish and maintain public relations to foster cooperative relationships with external educational agencies. Supervise, hire, and evaluate staff, developing measurable objectives for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed. Assist with budget monitoring, reporting, and financial controls. Ensure compliance with state reporting requirements and develop quality education curriculum tailored to individual needs. Coordinate professional development for educational staff and integrate treatment processes with educational programs. Plan and prepare school events such as graduations and celebrations. Attend staff meetings and support the organization’s mission and Seven Key Principles of care.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with budget monitoring, financial controls, and expenditure reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with state reporting requirements for the Department of Education.
  • Develop and implement quality education curriculum aligned with individual needs and abilities.
  • Coordinate annual professional development plans for educational staff.
  • Integrate treatment processes with educational programs in collaboration with clinical staff.
  • Plan and prepare school events such as graduations, celebrations, and theatrical events.
  • Attend staff meetings and support the organization’s mission and principles.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Supervisory Responsibilities

May supervise 5-6 teachers and 5-6 teacher aides.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • At least four years of experience in primary/secondary education and three years of supervisory experience.
  • Valid state-specific Department of Education Teaching Certificate.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, regulations, and business documents.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Proficiency in basic mathematical operations, including computing rates, ratios, and percentages.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
  • Computer knowledge, including email and spreadsheet software.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to pass criminal clearances (Act 33, Act 34, PA State, child clearances, and FBI).
  • Non-communicable disease physical exam.
