About the role
Join us in our mission to empower individuals and students of all ages to achieve their educational and career goals. As the North Country Pathways & Funding Specialist, you'll engage with students of all ages and backgrounds to help assess their education and career goals and develop personalized plans in support of achieving those goals. You'll also provide guidance and support in navigating all aspects of funding their education, including financial aid, scholarships, and student loans.
Responsibilities
- Conduct virtual or in-person consultations
- Provide resources and individualized guidance
- Deliver virtual or in-person presentations to a variety of stakeholders
- Provide feedback and input related to the effectiveness of the organization's career planning and success programming
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in school or career counseling, college admissions, financial aid, or workforce development
- Demonstrated understanding of education and career access in Northern New Hampshire
- Strong presentation and public-speaking skills, with an ability to interact with a wide range of participants and groups of all sizes
- Ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously
- A strong desire to work with individuals across a wide range of socio-economic demographics
- Self-motivated, and able to thrive in a frequently changing environment, working with minimal supervision
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends, as required by business needs
- Ability to travel as required by position or business needs; up to 80% to travel to local schools, partners, conferences, and meetings

- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with students, families and partners in the community, and to collaborate effectively with colleagues across the organization

Schedule
Full-time remote position, with a requirement to work in person at our Concord office a minimum of two days per month. Additional on-site expectations may be required for onboarding and training, or as necessitated by business need.
