About the role

As the Editorial Group Supervisor, you will manage workflow and supervise staff for a cluster of brands, serving as the lead editor and fact checker for promotional and educational materials targeting physicians, other healthcare professionals, and patients.
Responsibilities
- Manage workflow and supervise staff for a cluster of products.
- Serve as lead editor on one product and a team member on others; train new team members.
- Edit, fact check, and proofread promotional and educational materials from manuscript through publication.
- Coordinate timing and quality control of projects, including content editing, styling, proofreading, and fact checking.
- Collaborate with account executives, project managers, writers, art directors, and other team members to ensure materials meet high standards of accuracy, utility, clarity, readability, and appeal.
- Work closely with writers to resolve content and referencing issues.
- Partner with account and project management teams on content and scheduling matters.
- Advise manager on departmental evaluations, training, and scheduling.
- Create and maintain style guides and reference citation lists.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Managerial or supervisory experience in medical content editing within a pharmaceutical advertising agency, in-house agency, or medical publishing company.
- Proficiency with the AMA Manual of Style, 10th edition.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Curiosity and interest in medical topics.
- Exceptional organization, attention to detail, and ability to oversee multiple products simultaneously.
Pay
$89,000–$117,000
Schedule
Minimum of three days per week in-office, with potential for increased in-office requirements over time.
