Editorial Content Manager
About the Role
We’re looking for an Editorial Content Manager to join one of the most ambitious, hard-working brand teams. We’re truly obsessed with amplifying the stories of Healthcare Professionals (aka Awesome Humans), and the right candidate will be too. You’re a writer, editor, strategist, and content aficionado with deep opinions about omni-channel digital media (but you also love print for its tactile, beautiful, and immersive qualities). You’re culture-obsessed, wildly self-motivated, a brilliant collaborator, and super detail-oriented. You understand the need to adapt to new mediums while maintaining an unshakable conviction that the fundamentals of good storytelling never change.
Day to day, you’ll work hand-in-hand with our Impact and Marketing teams to develop and execute 360-degree content strategies and campaigns for our nonprofit, The Awesome Humans Foundation. You’ll also oversee the development of new digital and print assets (e.g., Substack, podcasts, a quarterly print publication) that support our core brand campaigns. This role reports directly to the Narrative Director.
Responsibilities
- Lead content strategy for our Impact team, developing and executing long-form and short-form storytelling assets that amplify the mission of our nonprofit.
- Collaborate with the Marketing team to ensure Impact content integrates seamlessly with overall marketing strategy and calendar.
- Lead development strategy and execution of an in-house podcast, including content planning, talent management, and amplification in partnership with Marketing and Growth teams.
- Oversee the expansion of FIGS catalogs into a more editorial magazine format.
- Lead editorial production for FIGS coffee table books.
- Develop long-term strategy for media expansion into a multi-podcast network and unscripted TV in partnership with the executive Marketing team.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of editorial experience, preferably in digital media (blogs, articles, long-form storytelling).
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in English, Communications, or Journalism.
- Master’s degree in English, Communications, or Journalism is a strong plus.
- Experience in audio and visual storytelling, in addition to written content.
- Knowledge of print media production.
- Experience managing and editing freelance contributors.
Skills
- Sense of humor and excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently but not afraid to ask questions when needed.
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment.
- Passion for a company with a real purpose and values.
Pay
Base salary range: $125,000 – $140,000. Actual salary is determined based on skills, qualifications, and experience.
Benefits
- Equity: Opportunity to own FIGS stock through our new-hire equity program and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
- Annual bonus eligibility.
- Comprehensive benefits: Premium medical, dental, and vision coverage, plus wellness services (Breethe, Classpass).

- 401(k) program with a company match up to 6%.
- Generous paid time off: 12 company holidays, flexible vacation for salaried employees, and up to 3 weeks accrued vacation for hourly team members.
- Parental leave, new parent care meals, and transition-back-to-work support for primary caregivers.
- FIGS-sponsored Uber Eats voucher for in-office weeks.
- 50% discount on FIGS products, plus a 25% discount code for family and friends.
