About the role

We are looking for an eDiscovery Specialist to support a short-term Contract assignment in Raleigh, North Carolina within a services environment that requires strong attention to detail. This role will focus on organizing discovery materials, assisting with legal document preparation, and supporting federal civil litigation matters with accuracy and urgency. The ideal candidate is comfortable working on-site, managing sensitive case files, and helping maintain progress across discovery-related activities and court deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate day-to-day discovery support for federal civil litigation matters, ensuring case materials are organized and accessible.
  • Prepare, format, and finalize legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and discovery-related files with close attention to detail.
  • Manage the discovery process from document collection through production, helping maintain completeness and consistency across files.
  • Apply Bates numbering to production documents using Adobe and verify that produced materials are properly labeled.
  • Track key filing and response dates through Outlook and help keep litigation timelines on schedule.
  • Maintain electronic case records on a shared server, ensuring documents are filed logically and can be retrieved efficiently.
  • Assist the legal team with preparing materials needed for court submissions and discovery responses.
  • Handle handwritten or manually maintained documents carefully and support accurate integration of those materials into case files.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in eDiscovery, litigation support, or paralegal-level discovery coordination.
  • Working knowledge of federal court procedures and civil litigation practices.
  • Ability to prepare legal documents and manage discovery materials with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Experience with Bates stamping and document production, including use of Adobe for labeling files.
  • Proficiency with Outlook for deadline tracking and general case-related communication.
  • Comfortable working with documents stored on shared drives or server-based file systems.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage sensitive information in a fast-paced legal setting.
