eDiscovery Analyst (Multiple Offices)

This position can be held in any of our U.S. offices including Los Angeles, Century City, Orange County, Del Mar, San Diego (Downtown), Silicon Valley, San Francisco, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, New York, and Washington DC.

About the role

The eDiscovery Analyst supports the firm’s eDiscovery Project Managers by performing day-to-day technical and operational tasks associated with the firm’s eDiscovery matters. The Analyst is expected to be hands-on with data, support quality control, help maintain defensible documentation, and contribute to efficient, accurate deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Translate technical issues and eDiscovery best practices to case teams in a way that enables them to understand the decision points and have confidence in the outcomes.
• Be hands-on with the data as needed at each stage of the EDRM, including data processing, exception handling, data loading, deploying and leveraging analytics, running productions, and other database maintenance and administration.
• Create load files from scratch and modify load files to correct errors.
• Recognize situations that would benefit from non-standard solutions and seek out additional guidance where appropriate.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years' experience as an eDiscovery Analyst, preferably in a large law firm environment.
• Effective oral and written communication skills, focused on clarity, accuracy, and tact.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple matters and escalate issues as appropriate.
• Customer service orientation with attention to detail and process management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver results to case teams with moderate direct supervision.
• Emotional intelligence and professionalism consistent with the firm's performance culture.
• Associate’s Degree required.

Skills

• Hands-on skill with Relativity, including Relativity processing, import/export tool, search indexes, imaging, OCRing, and exporting productions.
• Editing and conversion applications such as UltraEdit, NotePad++, and TextPad.
• Advanced text editors such as Ready Suite, Notepad++, UltraEdit, TextPad, EM editor.
• Transcript/exhibit and key fact management tools such as Casefleet, TextMap, Legora, Everchron, Opus2.
• Microsoft Office products and MS Teams.
• Basic understanding of forensic data collection tools and methodologies.
• Knowledge of Page Vault (preferred).

Work Environment

• Indoor office work environment with limited exposure to hazards.
• Hybrid arrangement with a graduated in-office requirement:
  • First 6 months: minimum of 3 days per week in the office.
  • After initial ramp-up/training period: minimum of 1 day per week in the office (with approval).
• Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $120,000 - $145,000 per year, depending on location. This position is eligible for bonuses.
