Role Overview
The EDI Analyst supports the channel partner integration ecosystem by building, testing, and maintaining connection points with external partners such as brokers, TPAs, payroll vendors, and benefits administration platforms. This role requires EDI troubleshooting skills, cross-functional coordination, and hands-on experience with enrollment transactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Support onboarding and maintenance of channel partner integrations (EDI, API, XML).
- Validate and troubleshoot enrollment data feeds, including 834 transactions.
- Analyze transaction discrepancies, demographic mismatches, and rejected records.
- Coordinate issue resolution with internal teams and external partners.
- Monitor recurring transmission failures and escalate defects as needed.
- Document workflows, connection requirements, and partner-specific configurations.
- Participate in integration testing and connection validation for new partners.
Required Qualifications
- 2–4+ years of healthcare EDI experience, with 834 transaction experience required.
- Experience supporting external partners or clients in a payer, TPA, or benefits administration environment is necessary.
- Ability to read and interpret X12 transaction files, including loops, segments, and benefit codes.
- Strong analytical skills with Excel (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables) are required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Multi-transaction EDI experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with API payloads (JSON/XML) is a plus.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Pay
18 months contract with potential to extend. Fully remote anywhere in the United States.
