What We Expect From Our Area Lead
- Works with GMs and ADs to ensure Edge Kids program is executed to high standards every day
- Spends about 60% of time teaching, 40% on operations and building a top-notch team
- Trains all new hires for the company, both in Edge Kids and the club
- Runs great kid’s activities that are high energy and fun
- Performs other administrative duties not listed here
Key Qualifications
- Full-time ability to work
- Flexible hours, including nights and weekends
- Passes a criminal background check
- History of leadership and people management of functional teams
- Proven success in leading, coaching, and motivating teams
- Experience in youth programming desired
- Experience in exercise science desired
- Experience in working with children required
- CRP certified a plus
- First Aid certified a plus
- Epi Pen certified a plus
- Bending, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, balancing, aerobic activity, sustained physical exertion, high energy, ability to lift 50 pounds
- Comfortable with children ages 12 weeks through 12 years
- Keeps room neat, clean, and sanitary
- Works within clubs and community outreach events
- Some split shifts and occasional weekend days required
- Trains and manages staff

Position Type & Expected Hours Of Work
- This is a part-time non-exempt position with varied hours based on the needs of the business
- Occasional evening, weekend, and split shift work will be required as job duties demand
Supervisory Responsibility
- This position oversees the full breadth of offered programs, ensuring that the extremely high standards of The Edge Fitness Clubs are adhered to in every class, every day
- Most Area Leads spend approximately 60 percent of their time teaching classes and the balance of their time doing administrative duties as well as overseeing supervisors and managing programs
- This position reports to the General Manager of the club
