About the role

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated ED Technician for Community Medical Center, a 592-bed, fully accredited acute care hospital. As Ocean County’s largest and most active health care facility, CMC cares for over 21,500 inpatients, 178,000 outpatients, and 73,700 emergency department patients each year. The compensation offered will depend on the candidate's educational background, skills, and professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, assisting with activities of daily living and delivering nursing care, including phlebotomy and EKGs.
• Deliver patient care based on physical, educational, safety, and age-specific criteria.
• Ensure effective and safe patient outcomes through practice, judgment, and critical actions.
• Maintain ongoing communication with patients and nursing colleagues regarding patient status and care.
• Participate in the collaboration of patients' plans of care from admission to discharge to ensure safe transitions.
• Perform additional duties as required; responsibilities may change at any time with or without notice.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent (required).
• BLS certification (American Heart Association, required).
• Previous nursing assistant experience or clinical experience from an accredited nursing program (preferred).
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (preferred).
