ED Technician

Location: Olean General Hospital, Olean, NY.

About the role

Perform a variety of patient care activities for emergency patients in the OGH Emergency Room as directed by a Registered Professional Nurse.

Responsibilities

• Obtain blood, urine, and stool samples for laboratory and microbiology testing.
• Receive and prepare samples for analysis.
• Complete electrocardiograms.
• Perform waived testing such as glucometer readings, dip sticks, and urine pregnancy tests.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• One year of clinical experience preferred.

Schedule

• Standard hours: 75.0 hours bi‑weekly.
• Weekend/holiday work required.
• No on‑call requirement.
• Rotating schedule with shifts from 7 AM to 7 PM.
• On‑site work arrangement.

Pay

Bi‑weekly pay frequency; salary range $16.00 – $20.63 per hour. Wage determined based on experience, qualifications, internal equity, and any applicable collective bargaining agreement.
