About the role
RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated ED Technician for RWJ Hamilton. The ED Technician is a direct patient caregiver who assists patients with activities of daily living and provides nursing care including phlebotomy and EKGs.
Responsibilities
- Providing patient care based on physical, education, safety, and related criteria appropriate to the age of patients in assigned service
- Ensuring effective and safe patient outcomes through practice, judgment, and critical actions
- Maintaining ongoing communication with patients and nursing colleagues regarding the status of patient care
- Participating in collaboration of the patient’s plan of care from admission to discharge to ensure safe transitioning
- Performing phlebotomy and EKGs as part of nursing care
- Assisting patients with activities of daily living

Qualifications
Required
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
Preferred
- Previous nursing assistant experience or clinical experience from an accredited nursing program
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
Schedule
Day shift, Part‑Time — 24 hours per week.
Pay
Hourly range: $21.04 – $26.19 per hour. The compensation offered will depend on factors including educational background, skills, and professional experience. This range reflects the anticipated hourly wage for this position if hired to work in New Jersey.
