ED Technician - 7a-7:30p

CHA Everett Hospital is seeking a Medical Assistant for their Emergency Department (EH).

About the role

The position is a full-time, 20+ hours per week, non-exempt, non-union position.

Responsibilities

• Work in a fast-paced Emergency Department
• Answer phones
• Perform order entry
• Phlebotomy (required)
• Point of care testing
• Work under the direction of a registered nurse
• Ideal customer relations skills with patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers
• Understand and integrate into the delivery of patient care the needs of specific ages in regard to their growth and development
• Able to organize daily work, prioritize, and make decisions concerning care to meet the needs of individual and groups of patients
• Assist in the care and safety of all patients including behavioral health patients
• Able to adhere to and administer treatment according to Cambridge Health Alliance's policies and procedures

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Certificate of completion of a certified nursing assistant program in Massachusetts, or medical assistant diploma
• One year Phlebotomy preferred
• Must successfully complete a job specific physical agility exam

Qualifications/Experience

• Emergency Room Experience Required
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification required
