ED Tech I, II, and III/BHP

About the role

Good Will-Hinckley (GWH) is expanding its Glenn Stratton Learning Center programming to offer personalized pathways for growth, communication, independence, and success for students with autism and behavioral needs. We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Ed Tech I, II, and III and certified BHP or willing to become BHP certified professionals to join our team.

Responsibilities

• Work with students with significant social, emotional, and behavioral issues.
• Help students learn, grow, and succeed in returning to their community school district.
• Help students reach their Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals.
• Develop and manage students' behaviors with appropriate coping skills.
• Be a positive source in the student’s daily life.
• Create and maintain safe boundaries and positive relationships with students.
• Make positive changes for our students and their peers.

Requirements

• Ed Tech I, II, or III certification or able to apply for certification through the Maine Department of Education.
• Behavioral Health Professional (BHP) certification or willing to become certified.
• Reliable transportation.
• College coursework in human services field, preferred.
• Experience working with children with significant social, emotional, behavioral issues.
• Experience with Electronic Health Records preferred.

Qualifications

• Satisfactory reference and background checks.
• Valid Maine driver's license.

• Wage range: $19.44 - $25.00 per hour plus EPL and sick time.

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 3:30pm, School Year
