About the Role

A multi-skilled caregiver who supports patient care under RN supervision in the Emergency Department.

Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, age-appropriate care including vital signs, EKG, blood sugar testing, wound care, suctioning, splinting, and ambulation instruction.
  • Operate cardiac monitors, pulse oximetry, trauma resuscitation equipment, and trays.
  • Transport patients, supplies, and medications.
  • Monitor patients in restraint/seclusion, observe cardiac rhythms, and maintain a safe environment.
  • Perform aseptic procedures such as sterile tray preparation, dressing changes, and phlebotomy.
  • Manage telesitter carts and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
  • Ensure patient care areas are stocked and safe, and respond to escalations.
  • Support clinical procedures, patient safety, equipment operation, and environmental safety.
  • Ensure compliance with policies and standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Computer proficiency.
  • Teamwork and collaboration.
  • Manual vital signs acquisition skills.
