Sentara is hiring an Emergency Department Technician (ED Tech) at Sentara Princess Anne Hospital, in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Shift: Full-Time (36hrs) - Days 7a-7p

Required: HS Diploma or Equivalent
Job Requirements/Certifications
- Required: Clinical -
- Required: EMT-B with state or national certification at time of hire OR
- Successful completion of US Military Hospital Corps School, qualified MMAC candidates OR
- Candidates with prior employment in the Sentara ED tech job code in the past two years will also be considered in lieu of the 3 criteria above.
Responsibilities
Assists the Physician, Advanced Practitioner, or Nurse in implementing plans of care for emergency/minor emergency care patients. Performs patient procedures and treatments under the supervision of the Physician, Advanced Practitioner, or Nurse. In this role, you are an integral part of the Emergency Department Team.

Qualifications
As a recognized accredited Primary Stroke Center, and Magnet hospital for nursing excellence, the hospital specializes in orthopedic and spine care, heart, vascular, advanced imaging, gynecological, comprehensive breast care services, and family maternity with a state-of-the-art neonatal intensive care unit. Our facility also is home to Virginia’s only Ornish Lifestyle Medicine program.
