ED Phlebotomist - FT/ Evenings
Job Responsibilities
- Perform approved specimen collection procedures, point-of-care testing services and processing.
- Provide education/information and support to patients and families concerning tests and specimen acquisition.
- Aid in special projects, evaluations, experiments or research.
- Act as patient advocate and meet patient/family needs.
- Provide information concerning patients admitted to, referred to/from, transferred to/from, or discharged from home unit.
- Offer emotional support to patients/families as needed.
- Utilize a customer focus in completing assignments, communicate in a courteous and conscientious manner.
- Promptly attend to requests and concerns.
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years of Phlebotomy or other relevant Clinical Lab specimen collection experience OR completion of a Phlebotomy or Medical Assistant program.
- Preferred: Phlebotomy or Medical Assistant certification.
About the Role
The role involves performing phlebotomy and other lab sample collection in addition to other laboratory support functions in the Clinical Laboratory department of a Medical Center dedicated to the care of infants, children and adolescents.

Starting pay is based on experience, skills, and equity; exceptions may apply for highly qualified candidates.
Schedule
Full time, rotating holidays and weekends, evening shifts (3:00pm to 11:30pm).
