About the role

Mesilla Valley Transportation is seeking Dispatchers for its Extended Coverage teams in Hutchins, TX. This dynamic, fast‑paced position requires critical decision‑making to ensure efficient, on‑time deliveries, and offers a high‑impact role that directly influences company success through optimal routing and resource management. The role involves close collaboration with drivers, managers, and customers to maintain seamless communication and operations, with growth opportunities for exceptional performers.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service support to drivers during extended coverage shifts, using available resources and critical thinking to solve escalated issues.
• Accurately enter data into company computer systems.
• Escalate and/or resolve problems per guidelines using available tools and resources.
• Work with team members to solve problems.
• Provide clear work instructions to drivers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of freight dispatching experience (preferred).
• Proficient communicator in both English and Spanish (preferred).
• Basic knowledge of motor carrier operations and geography.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, sit, talk, or listen regularly while performing duties.

Schedule

Flexible workweek that includes night and weekend coverage. Shift options (ECT Night Schedule):

• Sunday‑Tuesday: 5:30 pm – 5:30 am
• Wednesday: 5:30 pm – 12:00 am (midnight)
