Economic Support Lead Worker - Quality Control
About the role
This position is responsible for reviewing, measuring, and improving the quality of daily work activities for the Income Maintenance Programs that include BadgerCare Plus, Child Care Assistance, Medicaid, Caretaker Supplement and FoodShare, with the primary focus on FoodShare (SNAP) accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Review FoodShare cases for accuracy prior to benefit issuance
- Review calls for customer service and thoroughness
- Deliver quality control findings to staff in order to reduce errors and the risk of financial penalty
- Aid in the creation of consortium level standard operating procedures
- Promote consistency in the application of policy
- Present training topics at team meetings
Requirements
- High School plus two additional years of formal preparation and three years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of Income Maintenance programs and proven experience handling Income Maintenance case work required
Qualifications
- Strong organizational, time management, and personal computer skills
- Commitment to county safety and risk management efforts
Skills
- Microsoft Excel (or comparable tool)
- Research and interpret state/federal statutes, policy, operations memos, and other written guidance
- Prepare and present relevant information at monthly staff meetings
- Assist in the training and mentoring of new employees
- Answer questions and resolve policy discrepancies at the county and consortium levels
- Develop and conduct Consortium wide trainings
- Attend and participate in county, consortia, and state meetings related to quality control, accuracy, and improving outcomes
- Participate in regular workload activities to include processing applications, document processing, and call center assignments

Pay
The position is offered on a full-time basis with a FTE of 1.00 and a part-time basis with a FTE of 0.75. The exact work schedule for the part-time position will be determined based on workplace need.
Schedule
Full-time: Monday - Friday, 7:45 am - 4:15 pm
Part-time: Days and hours to be determined based on workplace need.
