Economic Support Lead Worker - Quality Control

About the role

This position is responsible for reviewing, measuring, and improving the quality of daily work activities for the Income Maintenance Programs that include BadgerCare Plus, Child Care Assistance, Medicaid, Caretaker Supplement and FoodShare, with the primary focus on FoodShare (SNAP) accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Perform state mandated quality control reviews of cases selected by the Pre-Certification Review (PCR) tool to ensure accuracy prior to benefits being issued and to identify and address training issues.
  • Perform quality control reviews on the performance of Moraine Lakes staff to include case and call reviews.
  • Advise staff of results of each review and required follow-up actions, coach staff on correct application of policy, and mentor staff in a positive manner.
  • Monitor the completion of follow-up actions.
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel (or comparable tool) to track, analyze, and deliver results of all quality control activities including local, consortia, and state reviews.
  • Develop training recommendations and performance improvement needs based on the quality control findings.
  • Research and interpret state/federal statutes, policy, operations memos, and other written guidance to reinforce quality control findings.
  • Prepare and present relevant information at monthly staff meetings.
  • Assist in the training and mentoring of new employees.
  • Answer questions and resolve policy discrepancies at the county and consortium levels.
  • Develop and conduct Consortium wide trainings to improve consistency in service delivery.
  • Attend and participate in county, consortia, and state meetings related to quality control, accuracy, and improving outcomes.
  • Participate in regular workload activities to include processing applications, document processing, and call center assignments in order to stay up to date on policy and process changes as they occur.

Qualifications

  • High School plus two additional years of formal preparation and three years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of Income Maintenance programs and proven experience handling Income Maintenance case work required.

Skills

  • Strong organizational, time management, and personal computer skills.
  • Able to communicate effectively verbally and in written format.

Pay

Salary range: $28.36 - $37.28 hourly.

Schedule

Position 1: Full-time, 7:45 am - 4:15 pm, 10 shifts per pay period.
Position 2: Part-time, 7:45 am - 4:15 pm, 10 shifts per pay period.
