eCommerce Specialist

About the Role

The eCommerce Platform Specialist is responsible for managing, optimizing, and enhancing Sager Electronics' B2B eCommerce ecosystem. This role combines technical platform administration, search optimization, SEO, AI-driven product discovery, analytics, and project coordination to improve digital customer experiences. Working closely with IT, Marketing, external development partners, and business stakeholders, the specialist ensures the eCommerce platform remains efficient, scalable, and aligned with business objectives.

Qualifications

• 5–8+ years of hands-on experience with eCommerce platforms and digital technologies.
• Experience with enterprise eCommerce platforms (Oracle Commerce or similar).
• Strong knowledge of CMS platforms and search/recommendation engines.
• Proven experience with technical SEO and website optimization.
• Knowledge of structured data, schema markup, and AI-powered search technologies.
• Experience working with APIs, system integrations, and technical documentation.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

• Execute platform upgrades, enhancements, and feature implementations.
• Optimize onsite search, product recommendations, and personalization.
• Implement technical SEO improvements, metadata, indexing, and page speed optimization.
• Manage structured data and schema markup for search visibility.
• Support AI-driven search and answer engine optimization initiatives.
• Collaborate with IT on integrations, testing, deployments, and system enhancements.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Cook with external development partners and vendors.
• Monitor platform performance and key performance indicators.
• Conduct A/B testing and identify opportunities for continuous optimization.
• Partner with marketing and content teams to improve customer experience and search performance.
