Ecommerce Marketing Content Specialist
The Role
The eCommerce Content Marketing Specialist plays a critical role in driving conversion through high-quality, retailer-optimized content across top eCommerce partners, including Amazon, Chewy, Walmart.com, and other top Retail Accounts.
Core Responsibilities

Dedicated, strategic support for eCom content, including:

Product Detail Page (PDP) Content: Working with Brand on panel images and retail-optimized assets including video specific for eCom, and eventual syndication management for existing catalogue and new products.

Optimizing item names, bullets, product descriptions, and below-the-fold/A+ content, for new items and existing items; content to be reviewed and updated on a quarterly cadence.

Establishing customer-specific timelines and asset schedules for refresh.

Managing customer Brand Store content, ensuring it’s regularly updated with relevant content aligned with national media campaigns, seasonal content, and customer specific layouts (i.e. A+ content on Amazon).

Aligning PDP content and Brand Store updates with seasonal campaigns, promotions, and customer events (e.g., Amazon Prime Day, Cyber, Chewy Sitewides, Holiday season, etc.).

SEO & Syndication: Reviewing and analyzing trending search terms within digital shelf tools to inform content optimizations and identify whitespace opportunities. Conducting regular reviews of customer scorecards and leading the development of recommended action plans. Collaborating with Customer Marketing Teams to address identified issues. Proactively stay up to date on Customer content policies (character limits, restricted claims, formatting changes) to prevent listing suppressions or reversion. Leveraging digital shelf tools, such as Profitero, to ensure published content across eCom platforms accurately reflects our SOT in Salsify; collaborate closely with our team lead and Customer Team to open support cases and ensure alignment.

Proactively develop and maintain retail media-optimized copy and creative for search and display campaigns. Collaborating with brand, agency, and customer teams to ensure ad messaging aligns with national campaigns, PDP content, and seasonal priorities. Supporting search and display creative briefing and asset development, ensuring all ad content meets customer requirements and is optimized for performance across lower and upper funnel placements. Partnering with Sr. Marketing Manager, eCom and Marketing/Shopper teams as needed to review ad performance and make data-driven optimizations to copy and creative.

Maintain an organized ad copy library (headlines, taglines, CTAs, etc.) and version tracking for re-use across campaigns and channels.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in eCom content management, digital marketing, or retail media, preferably with exposure to Amazon, Walmart, or other major retail platforms.
- Proven ability to manage and optimize Product Detail Page (PDP) content, including copywriting for titles, bullets, and A+ content.
- Hands-on experience with eCom digital shelf analytics platforms like Profitero, Pacvue, or similar.
- Strong understanding of SEO best practices for retail media and organic search optimization across eCom platforms.
- Experience developing and managing content for retail media campaigns.
- Proficient in cross-functional collaboration with brand, media, and customer teams to align on messaging, creative needs, and campaign timelines.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced environments and adapting to evolving platform guidelines and priorities.

The annual salary range for this position is $63,400 to $88,700, based on a full-time work schedule, anticipated responsibilities, market benchmarks, and organizational equity. Compensation may vary within that pay range depending on the selected candidate’s professional background, experience, operational needs, and other considerations permitted by law.
