Responsibilities

  • Performs diagnostic Echocardiography examinations for subsequent evaluation and treatment by attending physician.
  • Performs or is willing to learn all procedures associated with cardiac sonography (e.g., Echo, Stress Echo, and Transesophageal Echo).
  • Performs all paperwork associated with the Diagnostic Imaging department.
  • Follows all radiology policies and procedures.
  • Provides care appropriate to the population served in Diagnostic Imaging.

Requirements

  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Post high school training and/or education (Required).
  • Graduate of an approved Echocardiography program.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registry Eligible; Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI); Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT). Must be registered within two (2) years of start date.
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in Echocardiography, Stress Echo, and Transesophageal technology preferred.

Pay

Hourly range: $40.42–$61.26
