Echocardiography Technologist - PRN - AAMC

Responsibilities

• Safely and accurately perform and report echocardiology tests according to approved organizational procedures and productivity standards.
• Monitor supply levels, move supplies to specified storage areas within the department, and maintain the integrity of the supplies.
• Recognize artifacts and eliminate probable sources; troubleshoot minor equipment problems.
• Alert the team when clinical data could be compromised.
• Maintain equipment in a safe and sanitary condition; operate equipment in accordance with all department safety guidelines.
• Maintain activity and usage logs as required or needed.

Requirements

• GED or High School Diploma.
• Specialized training in Echocardiography preferred.
• Two years’ experience performing adult echocardiograms and stress echocardiograms preferred.
• Registered Echo Sonographer (RCVT, RDCS) with the ARDMS or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) with CCI on hire.
• CPR Certified.
