Echocardiography Technician III - Lead

Job Duties

  • Independently perform or assist the licensed practitioner in the completion of various cardiac imaging procedures.
  • Prepare, administer and document activities related to ultrasound enhancing agents in accordance with federal and state laws, regulations, or lawful institutional policy.
  • Educate and monitor students and other health care providers.
  • Communicate abnormal and unexpected findings with the provider to prioritize the need for additional testing or urgency of care with the licensed provider.
  • Collaborate with a licensed practitioner in the performance of sonographic interventional procedures.
  • Ensure equipment parameters for diagnostic and interventional procedures are of optimal technical and administrative quality as requested by a licensed practitioner.
  • Perform diagnostic, interventional, sonographic procedures as prescribed by a licensed practitioner or during appropriate educational activities.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of related work experience.
  • Requires little or no direction in the execution of job duties and can resolve most routine and complex issues successfully.
  • May be assigned lead technologist responsibilities and/or may be assigned responsibilities for coordinating specific programs.
  • Identifies areas for improvement and provides leadership to support process improvement activities.
  • Assists in developing and maintaining internal training programs and technical instruction of echocardiographic techniques.

Qualifications

  • Certification by the American Registry of Radiology Technologist (ARRT) as a sonographer or the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) certification or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) certification and Adult Echocardiography: ARDMS (AE) or CCI credential.

Skills

  • Knowledge of echocardiography techniques and procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.

Pay

  • $15,000 sign-on bonus for eligible applicants.

Schedule

  • 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
  • Weekend and Holiday On-Call: required / rotational - details discussed during the interview process.
