Overview

Sentara is hiring an Echocardiographer for the Halifax Regional Hospital in South Boston, Virginia. This is a Part-Time, Day shift opportunity with great benefits.

Responsibilities

• Performs two-dimensional echocardiograms, Doppler echocardiograms, transesophageal echocardiograms, and pharmacological stress echocardiograms to evaluate heart and vessel abnormalities for the evaluation of heart disease and blood flow abnormalities.
• Specializes in performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations of the heart, working closely with cardiologists to evaluate heart structures, functions, and blood flow, aiding in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular conditions.
• Completes the technologist report in the structured report application.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited echocardiography program (or equivalent education) in accordance with IAC Guidelines.
• Bachelor's Degree + 2 years relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.

Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field
• 2+ years of relevant experience in echocardiography
