About the role
Operates diagnostic ultrasound equipment and produces cardiac images according to policy/protocol. Performs examinations including adult echocardiograms, stress echocardiograms, contrast echocardiograms, transesophageal echocardiograms and pediatric echocardiograms. Assures high quality in all exams and provides necessary information for accurate diagnoses. Collaborates with other departments to ensure timely and efficient procedures.

Requirements
- Associates of Science degree in health care field and successful completion of a cardiac ultrasound training program
- OR successful completion of a two-year echocardiogram training program
- OR eligible for on-site training with an Associates of Science in a health care field or Bachelors degree in a health care related field with two years of cardiac-related health care experience
Licensure/Certification
- Current CPR certification
- A valid Echocardiography license from ARDMS (American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography), CCI (Cardiovascular Credentialing International) or registry eligible, certification required within 12 months of graduation
Experience
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred
Qualifications
- Ability and knowledge of imaging various anatomical structures and differentiating artifacts
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of general computer skills and applications
- Multi-tasking and critical thinking skills
- Ability to cover call, weekends, and holidays
