About the role

Our Certified Echocardiograph Technicians work collaboratively to promote optimal diagnostic clarity and prevent delays in cardiac care for both inpatient and outpatient populations. By providing comprehensive diagnostic ultrasound programming and high‑quality imaging interventions, technicians proactively engage with patients to provide connection and clinical clarity. Imaging specialists are viewed as a critical component of the care plan, positively impacting the cardiac journey and outcomes of patients.

Typical day

• Perform high‑quality inpatient and outpatient echocardiograms, stress echos, and transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE).
• Assist physicians directly with stress echo and transesophageal testing workflows while preparing results for final clinical interpretation.
• Verify physician orders, confirm correct patient identification using two distinct identifiers, and safely instruct patients on the upcoming procedure.
• Leverage an intimate knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and extensive EKG data to accurately follow technical criteria for preliminary reports.
• Maintain complex echocardiography equipment in good working order, adjust appropriate settings, and report any maintenance defects.
• Comply strictly with healthcare infection control protocols and department‑wide patient safety initiatives.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Ultrasound Program.
• License: RCS (Registered Cardiac Sonographer) or ARDMS certification.
• Current BLS certification.

Pay

Hourly wage range: $51.94 – $63.80 (New Jersey). Compensation will depend on education, skills, and professional experience.

Schedule

Part‑time, day shift.
