Job Details

A healthcare facility is seeking a highly skilled and passionate Echocardiogram Technician to join their dynamic team. They are looking for a professional who is dedicated to providing the highest standard of care to their patients.

Responsibilities

  • Performing diagnostic tests using Cardiac Doppler to assess the patient's heart condition.
  • Understanding and applying knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology to interpret test results accurately.
  • Conducting patient assessments, explaining procedures, and providing comfort and reassurance to patients.
  • Ensuring accurate exam documentation and reporting workflows.
  • Operating echocardiogram equipment efficiently and performing basic troubleshooting when necessary.
  • Maintaining supply and inventory awareness to ensure all necessary materials are available for procedures.
  • Collaborating with cardiology providers to discuss test results and develop treatment plans.
  • Providing age-specific patient care, understanding the different needs of patients of various age groups.
  • Facilitating stress testing workflows, including preparation, monitoring, and recovery phases.
  • Optimizing ultrasound images to provide the clearest and most accurate results.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as an Echocardiogram Technician or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in Cardiac Doppler, cardiac anatomy and physiology, patient assessment and communication, exam documentation and reporting workflows.
  • Experience in operating and troubleshooting echocardiogram equipment.
  • Excellent knowledge of supply and inventory management.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cardiology providers.
  • Experience in providing age-specific patient care.
  • Familiarity with stress testing workflows.
  • Skills in ultrasound image optimization.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Diagnostic Medical Sonography, or a related field is preferred.
  • Current certification as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or equivalent is required.
