Echo Vascular Technician, FT Days

About the role

This position in accordance with departmental standards of practice, assumes responsibility for all non-invasive diagnostic cardiac and peripheral vascular exams as ordered by the physicians to assure patient care treatment.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the preparation of patients for diagnostic cardiac and vascular exams.
• Operates equipment to perform non-invasive diagnostic cardiac and peripheral vascular exams.
• Documents findings and communicates results to physicians.
• Ensures compliance with safety protocols and maintains a safe work environment.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum six (6) months experience as an electrocardiodiagnostic technician.
• Minimum six months experience as a Non-Invasive Cardiovascular Technician.
• Registered through RDMS, SDMS, SNIVT, CCI or other comparable society in both Cardiac Ultrasound and Non-Invasive Vascular Ultrasound Sonography.
• CVT training or certification.
• BLS certified.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Cardiac and Vascular diagnostic tests and preparations.
• Lead electrocardiogram an arrhythmia detection knowledge.
• Successfully passing safety, cultural sensitivity, and blood pathogen classes.

Skills

• Cardiac and Non-Invasive Vascular ultrasound sonography experience (preferred).
