About the Role

This is a part-time (0.5 FTE) permanent Preschool Teacher position for the 2026-27 school year at the Early Childhood Education site. The role follows Calendar 5, which spans 9 months (179 days per year, 5 days per week), with a professional work day of 4 hours from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Qualifications

• Completed at least 24 semester units of coursework OR a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education (or Child Development)
• Hold a CTC Site Supervisor Permit OR meet all requirements needed to qualify for said permit

Pay

• $23.91 - $56.69 per hour
• $191.26 - $453.55 per day
• $35,000 - $83,000 annual (for 183 day positions)
• Various opportunities for additional pay for the 2026-27 school year:
  • $5,000 - $14,000 annual stipends for hard-to-staff Special Education positions
  • $2,000 annual stipends for hard-to-staff positions of counselor, social worker, and teacher librarian
  • $3,000 annual stipend for advanced degrees
  • $1,000 - $4,500 annual stipends for various extra-curricular activities
• Negotiated class averages lower than state requirements with compensation for overage
