Important Educational and Child Development Permit Requirements

• Possess or (meet ALL the requirements for) a site supervisor permit.
• If you do not currently possess a child development site supervisor or child development program director permit, please attach scans of transcripts, and possibly verification of experience demonstrating that you meet the requirements for a site supervisor permit.
• Most applicants will meet the permit requirement with a bachelor's degree and 12 semester units of early childhood education plus 3 semester units of supervised teaching experience (practicum).

• If you are planning on meeting the requirements through coursework and experience, it is advisable that you attach a verification of experience letter from your previous employer that meets the standards of the Commission.

• Certificate Copy (Site Supervisor Permit (including document number) or Letter of Appeasement from university.)
• Copy of Transcript (Transcript(s) or Foreign Transcript Evaluation and Transcript of ECE units if earned separately)
• Letter(s) of Reference (Please attach a minimum of 3 letters of recommendation/reference.)
