How You'll Make An Impact

Facilitates and documents communication, acceptance, and/or denial of patients seeking admission or transfer into or from Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare (TMH) in a call center setting.

Facilitates communication between TMH physicians, the TMH Emergency Center, and transferring providers and facilities.

Affords assistance to the Bed Management Team and the charge registered nurse (RN) in managing direct admits, transfers into the hospital, and emergency admissions.

Reports to: RN/Program Mgr Transfer Center (JC: 033203).

What You’ll Need To Apply

• Required Education: High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
• Required Experience: Six (6) months of healthcare, customer service, or medical terminology experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Two (2) or more years of healthcare related experience in dispatching, transfer centers, admissions, emergency medical services (EMS), acute care, etc.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Medical Assistant (MA), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Paramedic, Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or similar credential(s).
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft (MS) Office.
