About the role
We are seeking a CMA Certified Medication Aide to join our dedicated team at Eastmont Living. This position offers a range of shifts including part-time, full-time, and on-call options.
Responsibilities
- Reviews and follows individualized ADL directives for residents.
- Makes accurate daily notes on residents' conditions and updates flow sheets.
- Reports any changes to supervisors promptly.
- Affords assistance with toileting, oral hygiene, bathing, grooming, nail clipping, and dressing as needed.
- Serves meals and leads or attends activities as required.
- Remains informed about residents and departmental operations, checking schedules and activities to assist residents as necessary.
- Records vital signs and conditions on a schedule or as needed.
- Provides verbal and physical assistance during transfers and ambulation.
- Responds to call lights and other requests for assistance quickly and reports any potential safety hazards.
- Maintains neat and clean work areas, ensuring resident rooms are orderly, safe, and comfortable.
- Facilitates participation in social, physical, creative, and spiritual activities.
- Administers residents' daily medications according to clinical guidance.
Requirements
- Current CNA license in good standing.
- Certification as a Medication Aide / CMA as required by the state.
- Current CPR/First Aid certification.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English sufficiently to perform job responsibilities.
Qualifications
- Must be able to pass a background check and other pre-employment screenings (physical, TB test) as per state/local guidelines.
