Eastern Region - Weekend Team - Inbound Retention Specialist - Sales - US - Remote

About the Role
Yelp’s Customer Success team is seeking a dedicated and driven Inbound Sales Retention Specialist to provide a 5-star experience to our small business advertisers. As a member of the Inbound Sales Retention team, you will support, consult, and retain our advertisers post-sale. This is a full-time position requiring a permanent Saturday–Wednesday schedule. On weekends, you will work 7:00am–4:00pm PST, and on weekdays, 9:00am–6:00pm in your local timezone.
Responsibilities
- Strengthen Yelp’s revenue retention by providing exceptional and timely customer support
- Log into an inbound phone queue for most of the day, consulting and educating current Yelp advertisers
- Demonstrate the value of Yelp by highlighting ad performance metrics and investment returns
- Use strong listening and conflict resolution skills to handle escalated clients
- Become an expert in Yelp’s advertising solutions and adapt product recommendations to client needs by asking probing questions and addressing objections
- Maintain strong communication skills, both externally with clients and internally with Yelp employees
- Stay organized and efficient in a fast-paced environment
- Consistently achieve or exceed monthly goals
- Use Chatbench, Yelp’s internal LLM tool, to research, draft proposals, analyze data, and overcome objections
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or 3+ years of relevant client-facing experience
- Technical proficiency with computers and information systems
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Experience in account management, sales, advertising, or small business (preferred)
- Passion for local businesses and understanding of their role in local economies
- Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to track and complete numerous details
- Ability to handle tough conversations with business owners professionally and solution-oriented
- Balance consulting and support as needed
- Willingness to receive and implement feedback
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
- Access to an individual hardline high-speed internet connection (no satellite or mobile hotspot)

Pay
The base salary for this role is $50,000, plus performance-based incentives.
