Early Years English Teacher (IB PYP)

Summary of the position

The Early Years English Teacher works across our Chinese, French, and German bilingual classrooms to help inspire a foundational love for learning. They facilitate learning by establishing a relationship with students and by their organization of learning resources and the classroom learning environment. They develop and foster the appropriate skills and social abilities to enable the optimum development of children, according to age, ability, and aptitude. They assess and record progress and document the learning journey. They link students' knowledge to earlier learning and develop ways to encourage it further. PYP Teachers challenge and inspire students to help them deepen their knowledge and understanding.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree and minimum 2 years of teaching experience - Authorization to work in the United States or the ability to meet requirements for a sponsored J-1 teacher exchange visa - Experience working with Early Years school-aged children - Experience with the PYP and in bilingual schools is strongly preferred
