About the role
This job ensures high quality learning and maintains student/teacher ratios when regular support staff are absent. It involves working as a team to implement dynamic educational programs.
Responsibilities
- Aid or directly carry out educational activities designed by educators.
- Prepare and supervise meals and rest time.
- Engage with students during indoor/outdoor play, ensuring safety measures are taken.
- Guide classroom behavior in an age-appropriate manner.
- Support students during small groups or individual instruction.
- Respond to the cultural, economic, and linguistic differences among students.
- Respect the confidentiality and privacy of all students, parents, and staff members.
- Perform other duties as assigned by educators.
Requirements
The ideal candidate should be able to work in a team environment, engage with students, and manage classroom behavior. Previous experience in early learning settings is preferred but not required. A flexible schedule is necessary due to varying workdays and years.

- Knowledge of child development and educational strategies.

Schedule
Average workday is 7.5 hours, with days per year positions available during the regular school year. Summer employment options are also available.
Pay
The pay rate is non-exempt, meaning it varies based on the number of hours worked per week.
