Responsibilities

• Support lead teachers with classroom routines and activities
• Help children with meals, transitions, play, rest time, and daily care
• Maintain active supervision and safety awareness
• Encourage positive behavior with calm, respectful guidance
• Help keep classrooms clean, organized, and ready for learning
• Communicate respectfully with children, families, and coworkers
• Step in where needed to support the school day

Requirements

• Must meet Virginia childcare employment requirements
• Must pass required background checks
• Prior childcare experience is a plus, but reliability, attitude, and willingness to learn are very important
• CPR/First Aid preferred, or willingness to obtain
