About the role

Mentor Community Services, a part of the Sevita family, provides community-based services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You'll join a mission-driven team and create relationships that motivate us all every day.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, schedule, and provide weekly early educational in-home services for infants and toddlers with disabilities, including developmental delays and autism spectrum disorders.
  • Administer and document all program assessments and updates accurately to meet timelines.
  • Create and implement activities for language, cognitive, fine and gross motor, sensory, self-help, and social/emotional development for each individual child, using best practices.
  • Model effective adult-child interactions and provide written information on parenting, child development, and weekly activities to parents/guardians.
  • Monitor, document, and share the child’s progress with the family and team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in health/human services-related major required, or one year of full-time college for each year of experience working/volunteering with children.
  • Valid CA driver’s license in good standing; at least one year of history as a licensed driver (in any US state).
  • Access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance coverage.

Pay

Hourly PAY: $21.30/hour plus mileage reimbursement.

Schedule

Part-time (about 20-25 hrs/week average) to start - possible to build up caseload to full-time (about 32 hours/week on average).
