About the role
Mentor Community Services, a part of the Sevita family, provides community-based services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You'll join a mission-driven team and create relationships that motivate us all every day.
Responsibilities
- Plan, schedule, and provide weekly early educational in-home services for infants and toddlers with disabilities, including developmental delays and autism spectrum disorders.
- Administer and document all program assessments and updates accurately to meet timelines.
- Create and implement activities for language, cognitive, fine and gross motor, sensory, self-help, and social/emotional development for each individual child, using best practices.
- Model effective adult-child interactions and provide written information on parenting, child development, and weekly activities to parents/guardians.
- Monitor, document, and share the child’s progress with the family and team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in health/human services-related major OR
- One year of full-time college for each year of experience working/volunteering with children (equivalent to two years of full-time college classes PLUS 2 or more years of experience working directly with children).
- Valid CA driver’s license in good standing; at least one year of history as a licensed driver (in any US state).

Pay
Hourly PAY: $21.30/hour plus mileage reimbursement.
Schedule
Positions start as part-time hours (about 20-25 per week); potential to build up to full-time hours - depending on availability and caseload in the area.
