Early Intervention Service Coordinator
About the role
The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is a large agency responsible for various health and social services. The North Carolina Early Intervention Section is part of the Division of Child and Family Well-Being, leading the N.C. Infant-Toddler Program.
Responsibilities
- Develop functional Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs)
- Determine families' needs for supports and services
- Conduct home visits
- Cook up and monitor other early intervention services
- Plan for transition to other services at age three
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Elementary Education or Early Childhood Education, Psychology from an appropriately accredited institution
- Two years of professional experience working with the population served
- Bachelor’s degree in human services field from an appropriately accredited institution
- Three years of professional experience working with the population served
- An equivalent combination of education and experience
Qualifications
Minimum requirements include a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and two to three years of professional experience working with the population served. Candidates must meet the minimum qualifications as stated in the vacancy announcement.
Skills and Abilities
- Experience working with children in the age range 0 – 3 and their families, including children with developmental delays
- Knowledge of young child development, including developmental milestones
- Experience working with and collaborating with families and other professionals

Pay
