About the role
This role is part of our intensive early intervention program, designed to assess and develop foundational communication skills in toddlers. You’ll work alongside a multidisciplinary team to complete observations and assessments (including ADOS when appropriate), incorporate play-based therapy, and build structured yet natural language opportunities throughout each session. The ability to assess through engagement and play is essential.
Responsibilities
- Conduct dynamic observations and structured assessments to inform individualized treatment plans.
- Incorporate play-based strategies to assess and support early communication and language development.
- Design and implement therapy goals that focus on foundational language acquisition, joint attention, imitation, and early social communication.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to deliver coordinated and individualized care.
- Provide parent coaching and feedback to support carryover and generalization of skills at home.
- Complete timely, accurate documentation in alignment with best practices and organizational standards.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training specific to early intervention and diagnostics.
Qualifications
- Education: Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Certification: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA preferred. Clinical Fellowships may be considered.
- Licensure: Missouri SLP License in good standing (MO Board of Healing Arts)
- Preferred: Experience with early intervention or ADOS training (we will provide if not yet trained)
