Early Head Start Teacher – Mason City, IA

About the role

We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Early Head Start Teacher to start at the beginning of the 2025-2026 school year. You will be responsible for creating and implementing individualized lesson plans that foster children’s cognitive, social, and emotional growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities for children aged 0-3, in line with Early Head Start guidelines.
• Provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that supports children's growth in all areas: cognitive, social, emotional, and physical.
• Develop individualized learning plans to meet the specific needs of each child.
• Maintain accurate and timely records, including progress reports and attendance records.
• Foster positive relationships with children and their families through consistent communication and support.
• Collaborate with co-teacher, other teachers, program staff, and community resources to ensure the best outcomes for children and families.
• Use your education of at least an Early Childhood Diploma (or AA in Early Childhood Education) to provide a variety of experiences that stimulate the children to explore and express their creative abilities.
