A anticipated vacancy for a full-time Early Head Start Child Development Assistant position exists within the Early Head Start Program in the Division of Student Services of the Chester County Intermediate Unit. This is a 260 day position, working with infants and toddlers, and will be located in West Grove, PA. Are you motivated to create brighter futures for students, families, and the entire community? Responsibilities
- To assist the Child Development Specialist in planning and executing early childhood activities
- Establish and maintain an effective working relationship with adults and children
- Assist the teacher in carrying out the duties of caring for children
Qualifications
- CDA or Associates Degree, or willingness to attain CDA within one year required
- Previous experience working in a childcare/preschool setting preferred
- Bilingual/Bicultural preferred
- Current (within one year) State Criminal, Child Abuse & FBI Fingerprint, NSOR Clearance clearances required
- Clearance as an MA provider by the Commonwealth of PA and federal government (conducted by CCIU upon hire)
- Two professional written letters of reference
Pay
Salary PRJ, HS2, $17.91 - $23.49/hr. Placement on scale based on years of experience*
Schedule
8.0 hours per day; 5 days per week; 260 days a year
